Pearl Marill & Linda Posner
Pearl Marill is an award winning actress, dancer, comedian and choreographer based out of San Francisco and Los Angeles. Isadora Duncan Dance Award Winner for “Outstanding Achievement in Ensemble Performance 2012,” and winner of “Shortlived 2016” short play festival, Pearl’s work has been shown at venues and festivals in the Bay Area including ODC Theater, CounterPulse, The Garage, Shotwell Studios, Dance Mission Theater, The Traveling Jewish Theater, ODC’s Pilot program and WestWave Festival. In Los Angeles, her work has been shown at the Electric Lodge, The Sweat Spot, The Clubhouse, and Glorya Kaufmann Hall at UCLA. With training in fine arts, sketch comedy, improvisation, and modern dance, Pearl’s performance making interests lie in the intersection of multiple forms.
Linda Posner has been involved in theater and dance for 55 years. Beginning as a chorus dancer in civic light opera productions in L.A., Linda, known professionally as Leland Palmer, became a leading dancer on the Broadway stage in New York where she danced, acted and sang in Hello Dolly, A Joyful Noise, Applause, and Pippin. She won a Tony Nomination for best supporting actress for A Joyful Noise, and won a Tony Nomination for best actress in Bob Fosse’s original Pippin. Off-Broadway she starred in the rock musical, Your Own Thing, a Drama Critic’s Award nominee. Linda had leading roles in the films, Valentino directed by Ken Russell, and All That Jazz by Bob Fosse. After retiring, Linda moved to Willits, where she began a 20 year career teaching acting classes part-time for Mendocino Community College and supporting Willits Community Theater as Artistic Director, Director, Teacher, and Consultant. She created original Dream Theater productions and workshop/productions with young adults in “Teens Acting Out.” Currently Linda facilitates support groups including “The Cancer Support Group,” “Parkinson’s Support Group,” “Life Changes Support Sroup,” and “Caregivers Support Group.”
