THE GREAT AAPI ELDER PRINT OFF
JUNE 26th & 27th 2021
Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly (LBFE) serves 120+ AAPI elders living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Stop AAPI Hate has reported nearly 3,800 incidents of violent attacks against AAPI folk in the past year.
When reports of violent attacks against AAPI elders started to circulate at an alarming rate, we immediately thought of our own Asian immigrant parents and grandparents.
As artists working in social practice and performance, we paired a national group of AAPI artists with AAPI elders associated with LBFE and other organizations. Those artists produced a double-sided, 8.5 x 11in. homemade activist poster that amplifies their elder’s voice.

Who We Are
For You (Erika Chong Shuch and Ryan Tacata, with Rowena Richie) is a performance collective that brings diverse strangers together and makes performances as gifts. As a response to worldwide shelter-in-place ordinances due to COVID-19, they launched Artists & Elders—a project that virtually pairs artists and elders together for creative exchange.
Little Brothers Friends of the Eldery (LBFE) is a non-profit organization that brings low-income elders with chronic loneliness out into the community. LBFE currently serves 350 socially isolated elders in San Francisco.
